Two people were killed and three others injured after a truck crashed into motorbikes near a bridge in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday. At around 11 a.m. the truck carrying sand had just gone down Truong Dai Bridge in Go Vap District when the driver, whose identity has not been released, seemed to lose control of the vehicle and crashed into many motorbikes traveling ahead.
Two people died on the spot. Three others were injured, one of whom in critical condition. Eight motorbikes were badly damaged following the crash. Residents living near the site said road crashes, mostly caused by trucks, happened quite frequently near the bridge.
Local authorities are investigating the incident.
