Saigon Districts left with no water? Saturday night? Really?
In a statement issued today by The Saigon Water Supply Company, they announced that water supplies to huge parts of the city will be disrupted this weekend. The Thu Duc Water Plant, which supplies 850,000 cubic metres every day, is to undergo maintenance overnight on October 24. There will be severe water restrictions between 9.00 pm on Saturday and 5.00 am on Sunday morning. Many Saigon Districts will be affected.
Districts 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, and Thu Duc will have no water supplies in all wards during this time. In addition to this, other areas will face a restricted supply. The affected wards will be:
Saigon District 4:
Wards 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, and 14.
Saigon District 6:
Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
Saigon District 7:
Tan Thuan Dong Ward
Saigon District 8:
Wards 9, 10 and 11
District 10:1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14 and15
Saigon District 1:
Wards 4, 6, 7, 12, 13, 15 and 16
Tan Binh District: 1, 2, 3 and 6
Phu Nhuan District: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28
It is also announced that following this disruption the water supply may be discoloured and not flow as strongly for a while.
